| Students in the HVAC & R program achieve EPA certification as well as the skills needed to design, install, and maintain equipment.
Modular topics include the following:
Math, Basic Electricity, Professional Development,
Basic Electronics, and
Motors, Shafts & Drives,
Electrical Troubleshooting, Fluid Power, HVAC Basics,
Pipe & Tube, EPA Certification, HVAC&R Controls,
Heat Load Calculation, Metal Duct Fabrication,
Heating Advanced, Cooling Advanced, Refrigeration, Industrial Refrigeration (Ammonia), Process Safety Management (Ammonia), Process Control of HVAC&R.
Participate in the full course or topical modules. Each 40-hour module costs $474 plus fees and exams. Courses operateyear-round in conjuction with the Career Development Programs. Admission into an individual topical module is with permission of the primary instructor.
