JVS Seeking Distinguished Alumni Nominations

The Upper Valley JVS is currently seeking nominations for the Distinguished Alumni Recognition. This award honors any high school or adult education program completer who graduated ten or more years ago and who has "distinguished" him/herself since that time. Therefore, the nominee must be from the Class of 2000 or before.

In conjunction with the Upper Valley JVS’s 35th anniversary, these awards will be presented at the 2010 Distinguished Alumni Recognition program scheduled for February 18, 2010.

Supervisor Deb Holthaus shares, "As the JVS celebrates its 35th anniversary, it seems appropriate to honor those graduates who have distinguished themselves since leaving the JVS. There are many former students from past classes who have experienced many successes in their chosen field. We wish to recognize those who are outstanding."

Holthaus explains that in addition to the ten years since graduation, the selection committee will consider each nominee’s evidence of work experience and responsibility, record of promotion(s), and community (service) involvement. In addition, loyalty, job stability, leadership and the use of technology, where applicable, will apply. Overall, the committee will be looking for individuals who have achieved both personal and professional success.
