JVS Business Academy Students Job Shadow

Junior Business Academy students at Upper Valley JVS participated in a job shadowing experience on Wednesday, April 21. A second opportunity will occur next fall when they are seniors. Businesses in both Shelby and Miami County "hosted" these students for this full-day experience. Students were expected to arrive to "work" on time, dress according to the policies of that particular company, and complete an observation form. Employers also provided feedback in regard to the performance of the student.

"The purpose for this experience," shares Deb Holthaus, Instructional Supervisor, "is to give our students a chance to learn more about the variety of career opportunities available in our local business communities."
